RE: Fulltiming Dreamer

We are retired but have met many fulltimers who are still in their working years. All of them told us they would never go back to living in a house or apartment. Some stayed at the same campground for years and others moved around to what ever part of the country had good paying jobs.

RE: Fantastic bedroom fan, yes or no ???

We have one in our bedroom and would never be with out one. Great for nights that you need just a little cooling. We installed it ourselves.

RE: FINALLY a small RV vacuum with Power to clean!

Thanks for the info. We also get excited when we find something that makes living in our RV more comfortable or efficient.

RE: Are you Just bored or what???

You ain't seen nothing yet. Wait until congress passes THE CLIMATE CHANGE SECURITY ACT. Then the price of fuel will really go up.

RE: 4WD Came In Handy Today!

We are staying at APPLE VALLEY TRAVEL PARK here in Hendersonville, NC also. Welcome to the best location in the country. Plenty of mountains to gawk at, Blue Grass music to listen to and all the vegetarian food you can eat.

RE: 135 mpg, 0 to 60 in 4 sec., and Jay Leno has one?

Very interesting. Looks like electric cars are finally developed enough to be practical.

RE: Asheville, N.C. campgrounds

We spend the summer in APPLE VALLEY TRAVEL PARK in Hendersonville, which we feel, is an excellent location to see the Asheville area. Also the price is right.

RE: Full timing/ workcamping/ retired planning ahead?

Save-save-save!!! Do without a lot of the frivolous things in life, since you will just have to get rid of them anyway when you hit the road. It'll be worth it.

RE: WATER TRANSFER DELIMA RESOLVED

I haven't heard a Whippoorwill in 50 years. As a child, growing up in rural NH, we would hear them near by on summer evenings. They certainly were loud.

RE: Full time move - sell house - using "Pods" for storage?

For us it was better to just get rid of everything. The cost of storage far exceeded the value of any items we might have kept.

RE: Vidalia Onions

We like to saute sweet Vidalia onions with mushrooms and olive oil. We put this on our sandwiches or salads. They are delicious raw also.

RE: Considering Smokies over Northwest trip

Western NC has it all. At least for us. Lots of hiking trails in the mountains and plenty of water falls to gawk at. Summer temps are great, also. Lots of old time Bluegrass music if you happen to like that.

RE: Many before us - now it's our turn to "agonize" thru this!

Exclusive of anything to do with medical costs our total full timing expenses are $2000 per month. Definitely a big savings over owning a house or renting.

RE: trip to savanna ????? please

We spent March in Savannah and enjoyed it a lot. The Biltmore looks like a nice campground and is a nice location in relation to the city. We plan to stay there next time we are in the area.
